Position: Java Developer with MongoDB Experience 
Location: San Jose, CA 
Start date: Immediate availability 

Duration: 6+months

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Must Have - Java, MongoDB, MYSQL, 4+ years of work experience as a software developer 

1) Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems 
2) Solid understanding of object-oriented programming 
3) Experience with consuming and developing SOA and REST services, Spring and Hibernate. 
• Experience in databases pertaining to application development, performance and scale (MySQL, MongoDB). 
• Experience with source control systems such as SVN, and Git; bug tracking systems such as Bugzilla or Jira. 
• Able to interact and communicate diplomatically with other team members, multiple internal departments, and management. 
3) Familiar with various design and architectural patterns 
4) Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful 
5) Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS 
6) Working closely with the other developers, will participate in the system architecture design, development, integration testing and validation, (requirements to design to implementation to test) for a java back end application. 
7) Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions to software problems 
8) Demonstrated ability to incorporate rigorous Unit testing as part of development activities is essential Code (preferably Java) and writing samples may be requested. 
9) Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, debugging and optimization skills. 
10) Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time. 
11) System performance analysis including troubleshooting, resolution and reporting of escalated production issues 

Good to have: 
Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift and/or Swarm is a plus. 
Experience working with enterprise container platforms such as Docker or OpenShift
