Job Title: Technical Writer
Location: Santa Clara CA
Duration: 6 Months +
Rate: $58/hr on C2C
Locals need for Inperson Interview
Responsibilities
• Develop, write, and update internal- and external-facing technical documentation with supplemental graphics to explain our product and programs
• Present well-organized information in appropriate formatting for both web and print (PDF) output
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Communicate with and understand the needs of our customers and business associates
• Create and maintain the information architecture
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards
• Review, edit, and proofread materials written by others as applicable, including UI text for clarity and succinctness before inclusion in production
Requirements
• Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
• Ability to deliver high-quality documentation, paying attention to detail
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Excellent written and communication skills in English
• Strong working knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and JIRA
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Photoshop or equivalent image-capturing and editing software
• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign is a plus
Experience
• Degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred
• Must have the ability to be flexible, work independently, and interact with internal teams as well as customers
• 3-5 years' experience in technical documentation
• Bonus: Showcase a portfolio of hardcopy or softcopy writing samples and projects
