QA Analyst

 

This contractor will be performing QA Testing (manual testing only, no automated testing) on TrackAll 1.5 which is a mortgage outsourcing system.  It’s a client/server application.  The GUI client is C++, and the server and batch programs are Cobol85.  The database is a mix of SQL and flat/key sequence files.  Database, server and batch programs run on an HPNonStop system (formerly known as Tandem.) 

This position requires someone with HPNonStop (Tandem) experience.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

v      Qualified candidate must have solid HPNonStop (Tandem) experience, in addition to the QA Testing experience.

v      Level of knowledge ordinarily acquired through the completion of Bachelor’s degree in CIS/MIS, CS, etc., and/or equivalent work experience.

v      4 - 6 years experience in software quality assurance (SQA), or systems analysis and design, or software development, or business analyst experience.

v      Solid experience in writing test plans, test cases, executing them, and evaluating the results is essential.

v      Experience in requirements gathering and documenting results.

v      Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively perform support duties.

v      Ability to learn new applications and equipment.

v      Excellent interpersonal skills.

v      Ability to process complex time sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions and communicate actions.

v      Keen observation skills to interpret and document complex workflow processes.

v      Ability to prioritize, organize and work independently or as part of a project team to complete multiple tasks.

v      Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

v      The qualified candidate must have QA experience, not just unit test experience.

 

 

        PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (but not required)

 

v      Candidates with a development background are strongly preferred

v      Knowledge of the insurance, automobile loan and/or mortgage loan industry

v      Knowledge of client/server and batch architecture a plus.

v      Knowledge of SQL a plus.

v      Knowledge of SQA automated test tools a plus.

v      Knowledge of Tandem/HP Nonstop a plus.

 

Basically looking for:

·         A strong QA consultant (Manual Testing experience has to be there) with excellent communication skills..

·         Prefer somebody from a development background…..

·         The key here is HPNonStop (Tandem) experience and healthcare background.
