Position: Software Engineer

Location: Orlando, Florida

Duration: 6-9 months+ possibility of going permanent

Rate: Open (try at 50/hr on 1099)

Position Summary:

Develop software for real-time interactive simulation and training applications in a project team environment. Participate in relevant aspects of application design with software engineers, system engineers, hardware engineers, and program management.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

In addition to the attached job description, candidate will need the following specialized skills:

-           Competent in C/C++ programming for embedded processors

-           Experienced with Freescale Cold Fire processors and development tools

-           Experienced in programming and debugging communications links - TCP/IP, CAN bus, serial, USB interfaces

-           Windows XP platform software development using Visual Studios 6.0, 2003, 2005 and/or 2008

-           Simulated weapon development experience

-           Firmware is imperative

 

Look for Software Engineer with C++ Development experience, along with Windows development and .Net Development exp in C#, with TCP/IP (Communication links) programming experience..

 

Key is overall software engineering experience with strong C++ development experience with the additional experience mentioned above.

 

 

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

"           Ability to program on a Microsoft Windows platform in C++

"           Capability to read and comprehend source code is required

"           Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office applications is required

"           Good working knowledge of databases, data structures and methods is desired

"           Experience with distributed simulation architectures is desired

"           Experience with GUI design is desired

"           Experience with .NET 2003 is desired

"           Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed

"           Good interpersonal and team-oriented skills needed

"           Flexibility and ability to adapt to quickly changing circumstances and work priorities in a timely manner is necessary

"           Familiarity with Visual Studio 6.0 is desired

"           Working knowledge of OOA/OOD/UML/OMT is desired

"           Visual Basic, C#, Java, Ada, Fortran programming ability is desired

"           Experience with multiple platforms (Windows variants, Linux) is desired

"           Experience modifying legacy applications is desired

"           Experience with real time simulation and/or military training applications is desired
