Rate- 40 hr C2C

Location:  Chandler, AZ  

 

Position Description:  Experience Level: Bachelor's degree plus 7-10 years related experience including familiarity with testing automation tools  

 

As a member of the Software Quality Assurance (QA) team, the Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for development and implementation of automated performance testing solutions and services used for systematically testing software across all product lines and platforms. As a member of the Performance Engineering team, he/she will work collaboratively with members from all departments to create and conduct tests to quantify and improve various performance characteristics of products. - Designs and develops performance testing automation artifacts (scripts, functions, scenarios, processes) for simple to complex testing situations using various tools (primarily HP LoadRunner). - Collects, organizes, and analyzes statistical information from a variety of sources (both technical i.e. web logs, and non-technical i.e. product management interviews) to support high-quality test design. - Configures, executes, monitors, and troubleshoots LoadRunner performance tests in a vari!

 ety of situations and conditions. - Works collaboratively with other departments to conduct performance tests, troubleshoot issues, and improve system performance. - Analyzes statistical results for baselines, trends, and anomalies to facilitate problem solving, performance improvements, and reporting. Contributes ideas and recommends action based on that analysis.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- 7 to 10 Years of technical testing or web development experience with recent experience involving performance testing or performance engineering.

- Knowledge of performance test automation tools and effective implementation techniques.

- Specific experience and competency using HP LoadRunner to create and execute performance tests, and analyze and report results.

- Advanced knowledge/experience with design and development of performance tests using LoadRunner

- Experience with deploying/maintaining web applications. Knowledge of HTML, JVM, JSF, Weblogic, WebSphere, JBoss, and related technologies.

- Experience with Windows tools and utilities (DOS, regedit, remote desktop, VNC, etc.)

- Experience with configuring server technologies and operating systems -Windows, LINUX, UNIX, VMWare, Cache

- Familiarity with Web Services

- Server, OS, and/or tool certifications.

- Strong technical and testing skills. Knowledge of various software testing strategies and approaches.

- Experience with Web application technologies and layered architectures.

- Experience with F5 / Load Balancer testing

- Strong understanding of Oracle database and constructing/executing SQL queries

- Experience with Oracle database performance monitoring/tuning tools.

- Strong understanding of SQL Server database and constructing/executing SQL queries

- Experience with SQL Server performance monitoring/tuning tools.

- Experience with UNIX (Sun Solaris/HP) server navigation; Experience running batch commands and reviewing output, logs, etc. on the UNIX platform.

- Experience with Windows Server navigation; Experience running batch commands and reviewing output, logs, etc. on the Windows platform.

- Requires little supervision, can work independently and collaboratively.

- Ability to communicate and document project status and complex issues effectively to various stakeholders.
