Our client, an investment bank in Stamford, is looking for an Oracle PL/SQL developer to design and implement enhancements and new applications. The role requires knowledge of both Oracle PL/SQL development and Oracle tuning skills. It requires a high degree of teamwork, genuine creativity and high productivity with flawless quality and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Required Skills:
* Detailed knowledge and at least 5 years experience of working with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Tuning
* Strong background in PL/SQL and SQL tuning with Oracle
* Experience with ETL tools, especially Informatica, desirable.
* Experience with large data warehouses.
* Detailed knowledge of data warehousing concepts and reporting technologies like Business Objects would be valuable.
* Good understanding of operating systems like UNIX, Linux and Windows NT/XP platforms.
* Experience of contributing to the implementation of large-scale change projects in major organizations.
* Strong communication skills
* Full application development life cycle experience
Preferred Skills:
* Financial services experience (preferably Investment Banking).
* Knowledge and experience of enterprise-wide financial systems would be advantageous.
* Experience with Oracle 10g environment preferred
* UNIX shell Scripting, Perl scripting
