Job Title: System Analyst

Job Duration: 6+Months

Job Location: Palo Alto, CA

 

Job Description:

•   5 or more years experience in an operations organization.

•   Strong communication and collaboration skills.

•   Production support experience (CEN, monitoring, troubleshooting, change management)

•   B.S. degree in CS, EE or equivalent experience.

•   Ability to perform in high-stress, crisis situations.

•   This is a night shift position in a 24x7 environment.  The candidate must be able to work night shift (graves)

•   Technical expertise required:

o   Operating Systems (Solaris, Windows, Linux)

o   Databases (SQL Server, Oracle)

o   Oracle 10g RAC installation, configuration and administration

o   OEM use and configuration

o   Network appliances (firewalls, load balancers, proxy/cache servers)

o   Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and the OSI model

o   Internet software platforms (web servers, application servers)

o   Storage systems (NAS, SAN - HDS experience a plus)

o   Understand, create, and debug UNIX shell and Perl/CGI scripts

o   APEX installation, configuration and administration

o   Datacenter concepts – storage (Hitachi), server (Sun), networking concepts

o   HA/DR concepts – basic concepts. Use of Symantec technology for backups
