Job Title: Network Admin - Juniper devices

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 6 Months Extendable

Primary: Network admin with juniper devices.

Responsibilities include design, monitoring, and support of a worldwide network.  Its architecture should be optimized for reliability, high availability, scalability, and cost effectiveness, through the coordination of telecommunications and hardware service providers.
Configure network hardware (Cisco and Juniper routers / switches / firewalls / VPNs, Aruba wireless controllers, IDS/IPS, etc.), software, and links (MPLS, IP VPN, Internet, etc.).
Responsible for the architecture, documentation, implementation, and administration of IT hardware, policies, best-practices, industry standards for worldwide deployment of LAN / WAN using various platforms such as Aruba, Cisco, Juniper, F5, etc.
Liaison with corporate IT development groups and other internal customers for network issues and projects.
Provide Level 2+ support and problem resolution for workstation and server network problems.
Troubleshoot switched VLANS, core routers, wireless controllers, and WAN connectivity issues within multiple locations.
Responsible for resolving problems with LAN infrastructure, including user data nodes (data drops), fiber optic and twisted pair runs.
Oversees the Data Wiring Projects - Local Area Network (LAN).  Installation of Firewalls / Routers / Switches / Wireless Controllers.
Configure new routers, switches, network equipment and modify existing equipment configurations.
Use diagnostic tools and techniques for troubleshooting LANs, and WANs.  This will include analyzing captured packets and procedures for approaching and fixing network problems.
Responsible for providing advice, research support, design, project management services, and technical expertise to design solutions for new systems, applications for product development teams, application administrators and network operation units.
Assist in the testing, selection, placement, implementation, documentation, operation, and maintenance of various network technologies including authentication devices, access controls, firewalls, routers, switches, IDS / IPS / SIM systems and analysis tools.
Assist the information security team in monitoring and evaluating new security vulnerability alerts.  Address vulnerabilities in systems, make recommendations for improving security, and implement recommendations.
Interface with Sr. Management as necessary, providing reports, presentations, and recommendations covering the operational aspects of the network.  Identify risks and system needs, define solutions and appropriate standards, establish standards and procedures.
Provide technical leadership to team members.
Assist internal and external auditors as required.
Successful track record of technical project delivery within a network systems environment.
Be a part of the team responsible for the recovery of all systems as a part of incident response and business continuity (Disaster Recovery).
Ensure that change control procedures are followed for all changes on production systems.
Provide cost effective improvements to reduce the frequency and duration of incidents impacting availability.
Produce management reports on the level of service achieved.
Drive projects to success by working closely with Sr. Management, internal customers, vendors, and IT Development staff to facilitate efficient project workflow.
Work with software vendors regarding licensing and maintenance agreements.
Develop, implement, and manage projects relating to infrastructure programs in support of business initiatives using ITIL methodology.
Create, track, and analyze project metrics as needed and report findings / recommendations to appropriate individuals.
Create standards and procedures for supported systems.
Must be able to work outside normal hours in order to perform diagnosis and/or implementation of product releases or changes, so that normal workflow is not interrupted.
On-call duties will be required in a team environment.
