Sr. Oracle DBA

Location:  Cupertino, CA

Duration: 6- 12 months contract

 

Remarks:  Only GC and Citizen. Only candidates who are local to the SF Bay Area

 

Job Summary

The Senior Oracle Architect will be part of Core DBA team providing Development and Production DBA services for Global applications.  The application databases supported are a wide variety of vendor provided and in-house developed apps.

 

Key Qualifications

·         Minimum 8+ yrs experience as an Oracle development DBA on Unix in a 24*7 environment

·         5+ yrs in SQL and PL/SQL scripting and tuning 

·         3+ years in Unix shell scripting

·         Need to have heavy performance tuning experience, majority of work will be performance tuning Extensive experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting - drill down approach with O/S, database and application

·         Experience in designing solutions and performing global enterprise database backup and recovery 

·         Structured approach in problem resolution

·         Pro-active database management

·         Well developed written and verbal communication skills
