Job description:
The IID needs to migrate its current product registration front end (designed in Access 97) to a new front end built in Microsoft Visual (.net) and continue to use SQL as the data store. Must connect to outside data feed.
· The current software product (ACCESS 97) is no longer supported. Existing coding is fragile and unwieldy and does not allow IID to make changes.
· Despite the fact that we now receive 75% of our filings electronically through a proprietary system, we still have to manage the data and perform analysis.
· A redesign of the input screens will reduce the amount of time necessary to create new records based on paper filings.
· IID has retained a business analyst who has documented current processes, is defining requirements and studying redesign of the screens and tab order to increase security and input speed.
· The redesign will include a new numbering system with safeguards for better accuracy in maintaining filing identification.
· Designer must be familiar with ACCESS 97, .NET, Java
