This person can't be afraid to engage people, as there are a lot of teams involved with this including the offshore/onshore team - this person needs to push all teams to keep the communication open and flowing. There is a release every 7 to 8 weeks, and right now they have 4 sets of code. Th! is person will manage back merge the trunk, come up with the merging strategy, and be able to speak up if they're having a jam with merging, contact the right people and tell them that they're having issues with the code and get it resolved. Build cycles - this person will be producing builds every day as they get defects in, so the more leadership on keeping the ball rolling is important. This will be a Build/Release person, but also some deployment, because once the build gets produced and offshoots it to another team to deploy, they need to know how to debug it, or point to the right person to run point on that.
