Job Description:

·         Responsible for modeling project-level data models for applications under development.

·         Coordinate and work with resources from the business, development, and database administration areas to develop an information solution that advances best practices within Information Architecture.

·         Be involved in the gathering of data requirements through facilitated sessions or Use Cases, and designing data models based on those requirements and must possess excellent communication skills.

·         Architect, develop, deploy and support complex computing applications in a large scale environment

·         Manage his/her deliverables and workload and must possess the flexibility required to respond to changing priorities.

·         Review and obtain approval from the project team on the data model designs and build quality data models within defined Aetna standards.

·         Handle multiple project assignments with minimal direction managing and negotiate work load with project manager and escalate issues as necessary to his/her management

·         Ensure that all project activities are thoroughly documented and current, and that appropriate change management and version control practices procedures have been followed.

·         Provide team members and management with timely status of activities and issues. Escalates issues when necessary by recognizing severity and impact to users and IT systems.

·         Work independently and resolves complex problems with limited supervision.

·         Acquire and promote knowledge transfer by communicating operational knowledge about applications operation and configuration with internal teams

·         Provide weekly status reports of task(s) progress as well as any issues or risks
