Must be Lead or Architect

Job Title:   BigData Hadoop lead or Architect

Location:    Hartford, CT

Duration:   6-12 months Contract

Required background:

Understanding of HADOOP Framework, Hive , Pig and Scala is MUST

Knowledge in Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands.

Experience in designing & optimizing queries against data in the HDFS environment using Apache Hive and implement UDFs. 

Experience in implementing data transformation and processing solutions (ETL) using Apache Pig - UDFs & Streaming. 

Relational database concepts Data Modeling (Dimensional and Relational).

Experience with bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities (CRON, AWK, SED etc.) & UNIX Commands. 

Good programming skills in Python or Java or any of the major languages.
