Job Title :           Hadoop Developer With ETL

Location  :           Dayton OH

Duration  :           6-12 months Contract 

 

Job Description:

A thorough understanding of the capabilities of ETL Tools such as Informatica is required 

A thorough understanding of the capabilities of BI Tools such as MicroStrategy and MicroSoft SSRS is required 

A thorough understanding of Relational Data Modeling principals is required.  Dimensional modeling experience is preferred 

Teradata knowledge is preferred 

SQL Server knowledge is preferred 

SAS experience preferred 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Effective listening and critical thinking skills 

Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism 

Effective problem solving skills with attention to detail 

Ability to work independently and within a team environment 

Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals 

Knowledge of managed care preferred 

Knowledge of healthcare data coding such as CPT-4, HCPCS, ICD-9, DRG and Revenue Codes is preferred 

Experience working with Agile development methodologies is preferred

Job Description:

"Build a world class revolutionary ETL framework using bleeding edge technology that has to be designed and developed from scratch to bring a commercially successful health care product out of Oracle. You will be working with and training/mentoring a group of world class engineers who are open minded, want to hear new ideas and willing to go the extra mile to bring those ideas to bear."

Must have 

1. Cascading (or Apache Crunch) and Hadoop

2. JUnit but prefer any BDD framework experience like JBehave or Spock

3. SQL

4. Prior experience building ETL

Must Haves: 

Education: Bachelor's Degree in technical field OR equivalent work experience

3+ years of professional work experience

2+ years of experience coding with at least one JVM language, e.g. Java, Scala, Clojure

2+ years of experience with all of the following: Hadoop HDFS, Java MapReduce, and JUnit

Experience designing and developing database applications using SQL.
