Job Title: Business Analyst / Data Migration Analyst
Location: Wilmington, DE (Philadelphia Area/Neighboring states)
Duration: 12+ Months
Locals are preferred or someone who is aware of Wilmington Area
Job Description:
The Business Analyst / Data Migration Analyst will be assigned to a data rationalization project.
They will utilize their background and experience to assist a client in a large-scale data rationalization and migration project. Responsibilities include client facing activities, including day-to-day conversion activities, utilizing analytical skills and best practice data conversion methodologies to drive successful migration to a streamlined SAP application.
The candidate should have:
1. Strong analytical and reasoning abilities,
2. Good knowledge of accounting systems,
3. Some experience with SAP,
4. Some experience working in manufacturing,
5. Qualifications as a strong Microsoft Excel analyst, expected to use advanced features.
6. Ability to use data evaluation and data cleansing methodologies.
7. Ability to work under strict deadlines, attention to detail to ensures that all data is properly cleansed.
8. Ability to break down complex business problems into easy-to-digest analysis; produce data and visualization solutions that are easy for stakeholders to interpret.
9. Be able to review metrics and share interpretations with key decision makers in the project.
10. A fierce commitment to provide exemplary customer service in a value add, cost-effective manner.
Assignment: Consultant will assist with a broad range of data conversion duties, including:
· Work with SME's and conversion specialists on the client's SAP business data to implement the project's data conversion methodology.
· Work with business users and support staff to reconcile the data and prepare for its conversion to the system.
· Work closely with IT and accounting groups, as appropriate.
· Understand conversion issues as well as practical issues faced in the implementation of a new system.
· Data conversion activities, including data reconciliation, document management, data mapping, data cleansing, quality control and validation.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include the following:
· Work with business users and SME's to rationalize the conversion and streamlining of data,
· Collect, organize and pre-screen the accuracy of data, detecting errors and inconsistencies,
· Identify, research and resolve conversion issues with specific involvement in resolving data accuracy and quality concerns.
· Identify and enter data from various sources, and deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive case management data,
· Compare data with original source documents and validate data accuracy,
· Reconcile data elements including documents, dates, addresses, status, correspondence and accounting, and work on data mapping and cleansing to new system.
· Insure good quality control for the data conversion process.
· Convert data from multiple sources and run validation test on converted data.
