Need Big Data Test Engineer /Hadoo Tester

We are looking for Big Data Test Engineer immediately

Work Location: San Jose, CA

Start Date        :   ASAP

Duration           :  6 – 12 months

 

Job Description:

 

Candidate should have a passion for testing high-performance "Big Data" systems. In the role, you would be working with a Java application stack that tests open-source and commercial software like Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Storm, Zookeeper, Couchbase, MySQL, Druid and Vertica.  Candidates will at least be familiar with the technologies we are using but may not have had the  opportunity to acquire deep experience in previous job settings. However, you should have a true passion for technology that is apparent in your work and/or personal projects.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Hands-on work with Java, SQL, APIs and a variety of data systems Develop automated test frameworks and test highly scalable data pipeline that collects and

·         process billions of events per day.

·         Validate data systems and functionality or each release using automation as a key strategy

·         and establishing performance benchmarks

·         Design creative approaches to solving technical challenges with data validation and

·         integration scenarios

·         Be the champion for quality production releases and point person for investigating any

·         related issues

·         Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across the team

 

Required Skills and Expertise:

·         Extensive Java experience and solid Linux/Unix skills

·         Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to mentor other engineers

·         Strong sense of ownership and track record of quality work

·         Can-do attitude and get things done on time and on budget

·         Exercise good judgment about which tools to use and when to use them

·         Good written and oral communication skills

·         Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across the team.

·         Experience in Testing  - Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Storm, Zookeeper, Couchbase, MySQL, Druid and Vertica is must
