On-Site Service Technician

Location: Plano, TX or Vienna, VA

Duration: (2) contract-to-hire; (1) full-time

Only GC or US Citizens

 

Responsibilities and Decision Making Authority

This individual must work effectively with staff and senior management within the organization and with external parties.

Have the ability to work with limited supervision and direction.

Set individual goals.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.

Maintain timesheet in Tenrox time-reporting system.

Perform any task assigned by the Service Delivery Manager or Senior Management

 

Working Relationships

The On-Site Service Technician will coordinate very closely with the Help Desk, Sales, Management and Technical Operations to identify and repair customers customized solutions, identify sales opportunities, commitments and expectations, and will assist in training clients regarding their systems design, and its technical capabilities.

Guidance Received

Guidance will be provided by Service Delivery Manager. Whitlock policies and procedures should be adhered to with exceptions referred to the Director of Field Operations.

Work Environment

This job operates in professional office environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  Frequently the job responsibilities will require participation in client meetings at their facilities.

Physical Demands

This is a largely active role; this position can have physical demands. The ability to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, crawl under tables maybe required.

Travel

Ability to travel may be required based on customer requirements.

 

Required Education and Experience

A minimum of a High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree preferably

A minimum of 3 years' experience in the field of audiovisual and/or broadcast integration.

Past project management, CAD, AMX and Crestron programming experience are preferred.
