Responsibilities
Work with New Residential (NRZ) front-office to understand their portfolio management needs for both day-to-day & strategic portfolio management decision making purposes
Work with internal and external IT partners to ensure data feeds are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
Provision and support of highly available systems in the production, QA, and development environments
Resolution of any problems in these systems in a timely and professional manner
Work with the software architects and engineers to specify details for adding new functionality to the existing technology suite
Work closely with the trading, risk and modeling teams to develop and support tools for mortgage data downloads, analysis and reporting
Work within a small team to design, implement and maintain all aspects of loan data management
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, preferred in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other technical background
6-8 years in a similar position, or experience in data mining, data management, financial analysis or other related fields in the financial services industry
Strong SQL experience
Fixed income market knowledge a plus
Prior experience working with cloud based data analysis frameworks a plus
Knowledge of business intelligence applications e.g., Microsoft Office (Excel VBA), Tableau, SQL, Power Pivot, etc.
Understand concepts of database structures, data querying, ETL, data mining, data auditing and technical documentation is preferred
The ability to deal with and resolve conflicting and competing demands, prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
The ability to work within a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
We are seeking a Business Data Analyst who can combine strong analytic capabilities, database querying skills, and communication skills to help in shaping and expanding our reporting, and analytical capabilities. Experience with fixed income/mortgage data/loans would be a plus. Please note that this position will be more technical than a standard Business Analysis role and would be ideal to applicants who wish to expand on their experience analyzing and support Business Intelligence (BI) systems for financial institutions.
