Title : System Admin

Location: San Jose, CA.

skills:implementation, troubleshooting, firewalls, VPNs, Dev Ops

Minimum Requirements:
5-8 years of network administration(implementation, troubleshooting,
firewalls, VPNs, access control lists, etc.).
5-8 years of Linux system administration experience (Debian).
4+ years of experience in scripting with Python and automation tools.
4 + years of experience in using configuration management and deployment
tools such as Puppet or Chef and Linux scripting.
4 + years of experience in the configuration and maintenance of common
applications such as Apache, Tomcat, LDAP NFS, DHCP and DNS
Expert knowledge of TCP/IP and IPv6
Expereince in troubleshooting firewall infrastructure problems, security
issues etc.
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) experience
Needs to be highly motivated to learn
Demonstrated ability to deploy complicated intranet-based web applications
from the ground up.
A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
System administration and IT certifications in Linux, or other network
related fields are a plus
Shell scripting knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of cloud technology is a plus



Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve technical issues
Troubleshooting Linux: (Ubuntu, CentOS), Apache etc.
Deploy updates and fixes
Develop custom tools in Puppet, Python and Bash to automate the UNIX
infrastructure
Install, configure and maintain Debian and associated applications in an
automated Puppet environment
Perform standard administration tasks (packaging, OS installs, patch
management)
Perform root cause analysis for production errors


Qualification : Bachelor's Degree
