Need-----Middleware Engineer @ O'Fallon, MO / 6+ Months Contract

Title: Middleware Engineer
Location: O'Fallon, Missouri

Contract: 6 + months

Visa: NO OPT CPT

 

Major Accountabilities for this role:

•                     Responsible for the build and implementation of new middleware components such as JBoss, Tomcat, F5 (BIG-IP), Webseal/ISAM, Apache, using configuration management tools like Chef.

•                     Collaborate with Development teams to discuss, analyze, or resolve application and usability issues and suggest engaging the Infrastructure Design Architect for any new requirements which are not defined in standard architecture design document (TAD).

•                     Document build, installation, and configuration procedures to allow operational maintenance and repetition as well as accountability for maintaining this documentation.

•                     Implement complex security integration utilizing mSSL/mTLS, mutual authentication, hardware certificates, software certificates, dynamic endpoints, and other security models.

•                     Implement Enterprise Monitoring configurations to integrate systems to Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.

•                     Participate in the project's environment shakedown testing and troubleshooting efforts as required.

•                     Responsible for project handover to the Web operations team with handover documentation from a Web infrastructure perspective.

Exposure to internal resources and tools

 

Education (preferred):

·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, or Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 

·         All About You

·         Advanced knowledge of Internet architecture and project delivery.

·         Intermediate knowledge of application containers (JBoss, Tomcat)

·         Intermediate knowledge of how the Java Virtual Machine works, how Garbage collection works.

·         Intermediate knowledge of web servers (Apache, NGINX)

·         Intermediate knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls

·         Intermediate knowledge of network and operating system principles

·         Knowledge of Access Management tools like ISAM Webseal or Siteminder is a plus.

·         Experience with automation (Chef, scripting)

Skills/Abilities:

·         Detailed oriented and customer obsessed.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Ability to multi-task and prioritize efforts.

·         Ability to pick up new technologies at a quick pace.

·         Ability to work with team members located in multiple geographies

·         Displays excellent collaborative skills with cross-functional teams.

·         Provide positive customer service to internal business partners
