The Analyst will provide critical data reporting and analytics capabilities. This role would analyze complex data structures to generate useful business insights and develop reporting to monitor business-critical results. You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of statistical analysis workflows in a business intelligence software (SAS, Alteryx) interface. You will ensure that the use of Bl applications enhances business decision capabilities. You must possess a strong understanding of internal stakeholders and present insights to clients. You will work in relational and non-relational database structures. You should be proficient in working with large-scale business data sets, fluent in scripting and rapid prototyping skills including expertise in minimum query tools 2, PYTHON, PL/SQL, Ras well as Tableau, Alteryx, Typically, this position requires 3+ years of related experience. Supports leadership team with data consultation, data gathering, analysis, and reporting.

As a SAS analyst, your main responsibilities are to collect and interpret data and to use SAS software tools to draw conclusions from data. Your job duties include updating SAS programs, and managing databases, and large data sets in federal health care clinical trial environments.

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools quickly

Desired:

  • End-to-end SAS Enterprise Guide development and programming SAS DI Studio experience
  • Extensive experience in Tableau dashboard design and development
  • ETL - Quality assurance and validation experience, specifically comparing multiple data sources for discrepancies and inconsistencies


Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a global library and study-specific setup for clinical trials applications;
  • Extract data from a variety of sources, such as relational databases, EDW, and Foundry for use in analysis
  • Deliver all datasets and converted flat, analytic-ready datasets with accompanying data dictionaries using commercially available SAS Institute Inc. (SAS) © software in the SAS7bdat format datasets (i.e., SAS software compatible binary encoded dataset)
  • Serves as Technical Lead on Study specific database design/build activities adhering to the timelines established by the project team and indicated by the contract.
  • Engage with operational business stakeholders to identify key initiatives and execute solutions to business problems using data analysis and advanced analytics
  • Perform quality assurance of reporting and dashboard deliverables to ensure the quality of both data and analysis
  • Updates annotations and production databases based on protocol amendments or other changes to trial designs within timelines as agreed with the project team
  • Work collaboratively to align business requirements with data and analytical solutions while empowering businesses to draw insights and analyze data while identifying areas of concern of as-is processes and business dependencies
  • Coordinate and facilitate requirement gathering, playing an active role in the discovery, analysis, value validation, design, and testing phases. Ideate with functional analysts and business process owners.
  • Monitor changes in business, making recommendations where analytics can further improve business
  • Create Tableau-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Document development for peer reference and knowledge transfer


Minimum Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, biology or other health-related field or equivalent experience that provides the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the job.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical trials environment or similar field
