Position: Technical System Administrator
Location: Remote
Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
Responsibilities include
- Install various software on Windows and Linux environments.
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures .
- Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications
- Support deployment of in house developed and/or custom application
- Work with agile development team to resolve any architecture related issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting and correcting issue, adapting to new technologies, interfaces and working with vendor for various software installations.
- Install and plan new software releases and upgrades.
- Performs system backups/images and recovery.
- Proficiency and proven experience in the following technologies is desired:
- Jenkins
- Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Ansible
- Git, Subversion, Maven
- Monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
- knowledge of Continuous Integration and Delivery concepts and best practices
- Ability to lead and train junior team members to achieve project objectives
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Willingness to work in an Agile team but also be self-directed with high engagement
Skillsets required
- Strong experience with Windows server and Linux/Unix operating systems required.
- Good understanding of OS security policies.
- Experience working in an AWS environment, supporting applications deployments.
- Experience of Docker containers and application deployments.
- Must have Shell scripting knowledge.
