Job Description –  

Role will be responsible for maintaining, customizing, and optimizing the Jira instance to support our project management and software development processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of Jira's capabilities

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day administration and maintenance of JIRA, including user management, permissions, workflows, custom fields, and configurations. Ensure the JIRA instance is up-to-date, secure, and optimized for performance.

• Customize Jira workflows, screens, and fields to align with the organization's project management and software development processes. Implement and maintain custom schemes, configurations, and plugins as needed.

• Collaborate with other teams to integrate Jira with relevant tools and systems, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization.

• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements.

• Provide training to end-users and teams on JIRA best practices, usage guidelines, and new features. Act as a point of contact for JIRA-related support issues, responding promptly to user queries and resolving problems effectively.

• Implement and enforce security policies to safeguard Jira data and configurations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies related to Jira usage.

 

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Jira architecture, configuration, and customization.

• Proficiency in Jira Query Language (JQL) for advanced issue searching and reporting.

• Experience with JIRA plugins and add-ons for extending functionality.

• Solid knowledge of project management and software development methodologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
