(Job) IBM InfoSphere DataStage 8.0.1 Programmer/Analyst - Round Lake, IL

Hi,

 

opening for a DataStage ETL Developer - Vernon Hills, IL. This is a 2 month's contract position. The Hourly rate DOE.

 

IBM InfoSphere DataStage 8.0.1 Programmer/Analyst

 

1. Design, build, and document DataStage ETL interfaces between Master Data Hub - Operational database and Master Data Hub – Analytical database.  Will work closely with data modelers.  Work entails creating a daily refresh process that copy from a 3NF relational Oracle 10g database to a dimensional star schema format in a Sql Server 2005 database.  There are 60+ source tables.  The DataStage sequence/s and jobs are expected to conform to Baxter best practices.  Developer will report to the project chief data architect.
2. Additional requirements as they may arise during the project.

 

Specific Qualifications required (specialized skills, degrees, certification, etc.)

 

• Min 1 continuous year experience developing efficient (optimal performance) DataStage Parallel jobs that transform and move data from an Oracle 10g database to a Sql Server 2005 database.
• Min 1 year experience with UNIX (pref. Solaris) using DataStage.
• Can provide high quality documentation of jobs.
• Experienced in testing DataStage jobs.
• Min 5 years experience with job development using any ETL tool.
• Experience in analyzing a problem from requirements and generating good technical specs for ETL jobs.
