Senior DataStage ETL Designer/Architect (Consultant)

Duration: 3-6 months

Location: BOSTON, MA

Description:

This Senior DataStage ETL Designer/Architect (Consultant) will be primarily responsible for creating architecture and design specifications as well as documentation for ETL processes for our client's large, complex data mart.  The Senior DataStage ETL Designer/Architect (Consultant) will also assist with detailed design of different ETL components for accessing and loading the data to the data mart.  The Senior DataStage ETL Designer/Architect (Consultant) will work closely with the systems analyst and application development teams.

The ideal candidate for the Senior DataStage ETL Designer/Architect (Consultant) contractor opening will possess all of the following knowledge and abilities:

Must be very strong with modeling and ETL tools

Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and needs to be very detail-oriented

Strong communication skills 

Ability to support multiple applications

Ability to work with the business analyst teams 

Some Oracle database administration experience (Heavy Tuning)

 

Minimum Requirements:

• ETL Architect and Design work using DataStage 6-7 years experience required.
• Working with Data warehouses, Data marts and OLAP technologies 5 years required.  
• PL/SQL programming 5 years required.
• UNIX shell script programming 3-5 years required.        
• SQL tuning experience 2+ years required. 
• Financial experience is highly desired
