Experience in Install, Design, Configuration and Optimization of
GoldenGate Software (GSS).
Experience with Change Data, Capture, Performance tuning, data
auditing and security.
Experience in UNIX Shell Scripting and knowledge of Windows
Scripting.
Good Knowledge on the architecture of Oracle, Sybase, PostgreSQL/
Greenplum and SQL Server databases.
Excellent documentation skills.
Excellent customer-facing skills and strong verbal and written
communication skills including presentation skills.
Some Data warehouse/Data modelling/OLTP/ODS experience is also
required
Essential Job Function and Responsibilities
Golden Gate Installation, Design, Configuration and Administration.
Establishes standards, policies, and procedures for GoldenGate
Implementation and Administration.
Install and maintain GoldenGate products, including patch application
and upgrade of the environments.
Responsible for implementing data models and database designs, data
access and table maintenance codes while resolving database
performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other
distributed data issues.
Support the data loads into the databases using Golden Gate Software.
Create database objects and maintain their physical organization /
relationships.
Ensure that the application, and any enhancements, interacts
efficiently with the database.
Monitor the performance of the system for throughput rates and make
adjustments if needed.
Analyze database monitoring data for performance optimization
opportunities.
Document the implementation steps and refine accordingly based on
issues. This will produce a step by step guide that is specific to the
End User implementation.
Develop and implement Golden Gate monitoring processes.
Coordination with Golden Gate technical support.
Provide input, as needed, to the development of business cases when
enterprise-wide database solutions are proposed.
Works closely with different application teams and vendors to
coordinate Golden Gate related activities, resolve development and
maintenance issues, and perform application tuning.
Create and review User Test scenarios and coordinate the testing with
Testing Team.
Coordinates and implement changes to development, test, and production
environments.
