Role/Title        : SQL SERVER DBA
Location         : TX
Duration         : 6+ Months

Rate               : $50/hr on C2C

JOB DESCRIPTION
Strong database background and should have a experience in  code implementation
Experience implementing and supporting database solutions and supporting 24x7 mission critical systems growing as large as several terabytes with very high availability requirements
Very strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server -2005/2008, advanced features and other products and tools including Replication.
Good understanding of performance oriented logical and physical data modeling techniques, data architecture and SDLC
Very good understanding of broad range of technologies from systems, storage, networks, middleware, ETL and other major application development tools
Hands-on experience of working with developers  on the planning, on-boarding and deployment of databases
Strong incident management capabilities and the ability to understand risks and quickly assess impact and take corrective actions as necessary
Familiarity with 3rd party products like Spotlight,SQLWatch and Litespeed
Familiarity with various backup and restore technologies.
Ability to optimize code and look in various ways of improving performance.
Very good understanding of broad range of database technologies and  ability to manage crisis situations
Good understanding of SQL Server installation, configuration and advanced settings.
Change management experience is a must for this position.
BA/BS IS or related degree.
