Title              :        Oracle Apps Manager w/Production Support

Location     :        Florida

Duration     :        6 Months

 

 

Experience Required: 

•          10+ years of relevant leadership, development and support experience in Oracle ERP, custom Java/J2EE and PL/SQL
•          Broad functional and technical knowledge of Oracle ERP is mandatory including OM, INV, PO, AR, Credit Management, Advanced Collections, AP, GL, HR, Sales, Marketing, Treasury, Cash Management, etc
•          Deep knowledge of custom Java/J2EE applications is mandatory including the use of best practice object oriented analysis and design. 
•          Oracle JDeveloper and ADF experience a strong plus.
•          Deep knowledge of custom PL/SQL development and management including best practices for support and maintenance.

  

POSITION SUMMARY –

·         The Applications Manager, Production Support is responsible for leading and managing a team of development staff in the execution of production support for all production applications across Oracle ERP, five custom java workbenches and all custom PL/SQL packages and procedures.  

·         This role is responsible, organizationally, for a team of 6-8 developers including career guidance, performance management and overall talent development.

·         This person will be responsible for following SDLC best practices, enforcing coding standards and overall code quality for both Java and PL/SQL.  This role is also responsible for mentoring the production support team technically and professionally.

·         This role also owns performance tuning across the application stack including working with his peers to ensure well-tuned, highly performing applications.

·         From a delivery standpoint, this role will be responsible for ensuring all production support requests are delivered within the forecast for time and budget as well as ensuring all service levels are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Provide realistic cost, effort and duration estimates for production support activities

·         Provide team leadership towards the completion of production support activities on-schedule, within budget and per quality expectations

·         Maximize the productivity of the production support team through proper resource management and work load distribution

·         At the team level, meet service level agreements for production support response and resolution

·         Own development resource utilization for the production support team

·         Drive adherence to best practice development processes

·         Mentor and grow production support staff members

 

EDUCATION –

 

High School graduation or equivalent (GED or other certificate)

Associate's Degree, Technical School diploma, or other two-year program.  What specific area?
