Job Title: C++ developer with Java strong exp Strong financial background

 Location: NYC

Duration: 6+ months plus (with contract to hire option. Candidate should be open to it)

Rate: $OPEN /hr on C2C

Visa: Need : EAD or GC is needed at the least

 

Note: We have a candidate working in the same group and need someone like him. Purely C++ with financial exp, good Java and SQL backgroud needed

 

 We need to a consultant with very strong knowledge of object oriented programming in C++ and knowledge of financial products with emphasis on structured finance. Between the two sets of skills, the C++ knowledge is paramount. Java experiences are major pluses. The primary responsibility will be to work on the implementation of analytical models in the technology group supporting the analysts.

 

Experience:  7-10+ years

Requirements (in the order of importance):

• Very strong and in depth knowledge of the C/ C++ language under Windows, MS Visual C++ preferred; STL (Standard Template Library) a major plus; any C++ certifications a major plus; Exposure to UNIX environments a major plus.
• Exposure to financial products with emphasis on Structured Finance (RMBS, ABS, CDOs etc.)
• Very strong technical background; proficient in object-oriented design, data analysis and system architecture; efficient programming style.

 

Major Pluses (in the order of importance):

• Good knowledge of SQL, data design and relational concepts; experience with Relational Database Systems - Oracle preferred (8i or higher);

• Strong development skills in Java / J2EE Design Patterns

·        Strong development skills on the .NET platform; in depths knowledge of the C# language; good design skills and efficient programming style especially with WinForms;

 

Additional qualities:

• Very fast learner and willing to absorb knowledge
• Be enthusiastic to work on challenging projects.

• Good team player, easy to integrate and adapt
• Good communications skills

 

Minimum Education Required: B. S. in Computer Science

Preferred Education: M. S. in Computer Science / Financial Engineering

Any technical certifications are major pluses

Any Financial Courses are a plus.
