Websphere Message Broker Developer

Location: Cranston, RI

Duration:  6 months

Deliverables: criteria/results by which success can be measured:

-Understand and provide guidance around best practices to create web services and other appropriate integration end-points

-Effective verbal and written communication working closely with business and technology stakeholders

-Adhere to architectural standards, and detailed development standards

-Review service designs, research options and create recommendations to ensure a successful implementation

-Perform development and unit testing, working closely with Business Analysts and offshore developers

-Mentor and oversee development of offshore development resources, including reviewing designs and performing code reviews

-Participate in project meetings; contribute to detailed planning sessions for design, build and implementation

Technical Knowledge:

-7+ years experience designing and building enterprise application integration or web service solutions

-Experienced in IBM Websphere Message Broker, MQ, J2EE, Web Services, JMS, ESQL, DB2, Oracle

-Hands-on experience developing message-oriented solutions using MQ & Java

-Firm understanding of concepts and technologies such as SOA, Messaging, Transformation Engines, Web Services, and Data Integration techniques

-Strong knowledge of WAS Server and Datapower, WS-Security, SAML and web services standards

-In depth working knowledge of AIX/Windows, including scripting and core development

-Version control systems, ex. CVSNT, SVN or ClearCase

-Testing tools ex. RFHUTIL, JUnit, Load Runner, SOAP UI, XMLSPY

-Database experience writing SQL DML, designing entity relationship model, developing stored procedures, optimizing queries

-A background in financial services or banking environment, and familiarity with regulatory and technology risk requirements preferred

People Management:

Provide technical support and coaching to team members

Strong command of English Language
