Sr. Application Developer (J2EE,SOA Services,Websphere)

Hi,

We are looking for

 

Sr. Application Developer

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA

Duration: 6 months +

 

• With minimal direction, formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to architect and build SOA applications. 
• Prepare project design documentation from which new application systems will be developed. 
• Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. 
• Design, code, test, debug and document those programs. 
• Provide support to business partners in their information needs. 
• May act as mentor and/or technical resource to other team members.
• Interact and effectively communicate with business partners and other IT staff.
• Act as an information resource by providing assistance, direction and support to team members. Provide status reports for assigned projects and document change requests.

 

Required Skills:   

 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong Working Knowledge of Java/ J2EE
• Experience with developing SOA Services using Websphere
• Knowledge of MDA design and development practices        
• Ability to develop web based applications using JSP/Struts or JSF frameworks
• Understanding of Relational and Dimensional database structures
• Working knowledge of SQL and Shell Scripting
• Experience with source/version control solutions and automated deployment tools preferred.
• Ability to work closely with business partners to determine data requirements
• Ability to perform as a major programming and analysis resource on a project team.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with standard office software applications.
• Ability to provide on-call production support as needed.

·         In-depth knowledge of workstation, network and telecommunications principles
