I have an immediate requirement for MY SQL Dba at Long Island, NY. Please go through below  position and get back to me with suitable resume ASAP.

Position     :  MY SQL Dba
Location     :  Long Island, NY
Duration     :  12 Months
Rate          :  $50/hr

Responsibilities:

- understand what is being asked in a business scenario and be able to translate that to pseudo-code or technical specifications for review
- properly communicate and flesh out all details, including reporting requirements, deadline and final structure
- develop SQL to mine the data from a MySQL (95% of the time) or SQL Server (5% of the time) database and review with his/her lead
- properly illustrate the data in the appropriate format (Excel, PPT, Text etc); ensure acuracy
- develop charts or graphs if necessary
- speak to the trends or patterns in the data; provide examples for real life illustration
- adequately prepared to conduct follow up analysis or deal with post-distribution questions

Required Skills:

1 Expert level in Shell Scripting

2 Expert level in Sed / AWK

3 Design, Implement and  maintain high volume MySQL Databases

4 MySQL Performance Tunings

5 MySQL Replication

6 Understanding of Different MySQL Engines

7 Datawarehousing and Reporting concepts

8 Good Knowledge of Linux , solaris

9 Good at Microsoft Excel
