Duties:
Under general direction, gather, define and document highly complex business requirements.  Facilitate meeting discussions between business users, business analysts and technical analysts.  Document organizational policies and procedures in the context of system requirements.  Work with technical staff and business users to problem-solve and identify workable solutions.  Develop workflows that demonstrate current and proposed business requirements.   Prioritize the individual work load that involves multiple project assignments and deadlines.  Create and execute test cases, test scripts, data sets and user procedures.  Ensure testing results correspond to the business users' expectations.  Work with team leads, technical staff and key users to identify, track and manage project issues as they arise.  Answer questions and inquiries about system functionality.  Provide user support, including training, help and instructions.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or 4 years experience in business process re-engineering. Two years experience (current within the last year) in an operational role at a Medicaid or Medicare agency or commercial health/casualty insurance organization. Experience working with business clients and technical staff to develop business requirements for implementation into a computer application.  Experience working independently within guidelines, developing and executing test scripts, test cases, data sets and user procedures.  Experience level with Microsoft Word and Excel must be at an intermediate level or higher. Proficiency in speaking and writing in the English language is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Visio and Access and project management tools such as Clarity, Microsoft Project, or similar products preferred.  Experience with HIPAA Transactions and Code Set Rule and  Experience with National Provider Identifier Must.

Required:

 

q  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or 4 years experience in business process re-engineering.

 

q   Two years experience (current within the last year) in an operational role at a Medicaid or Medicare agency or commercial health/casualty insurance organization.

 

q  Must have seven– (7) or more years experience in working with business clients and technical staff to develop business requirements for implementation into a computer application.

 

q  Must have seven– (7) or more years experience working independently within guidelines, developing and executing test scripts, test cases, data sets and user procedures. 

 

q  Experience working as part of a large (40+) development team using structured procedures and guidelines.

 

q  Experience level with Microsoft Word and Excel must be at an intermediate level or higher.

 

q   Proficiency in speaking and writing in the English language is required.

 

q  Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to gather and provide information effectively, regardless of audience.

 

q  Must be able to work well within a team environment and have exceptional collaborative skills. Must be service oriented with strong interpersonal skills with all levels of business and technical staff.

 

q  Must have good overall PC skills including the use of Microsoft Office products

 

q  Strong organization, planning, problem solving, and decision making skills. Comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.

 

q  Must be a self-starter and self-motivated. Must be able to quickly learn and apply new technology.

 

 

 

q  At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst working with HIPAA Transactions and Code Set Rule.

 

q  At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst working with the National Provider Identifier (NPI).

 

q  Working knowledge of the following tools: Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Access, Clarity and Project Workbench.
