Urgnet need of .NET Developer in Charlottesville, VA for 6+ Months

Position Title: .NET Developer
Location: Charlottesville, VA
Duration: 6+ months

Requirement Details:
Applicants must have 5+ yrs of .NET web development with either vb.net or C#
(client is using vb.net, but will look at candidates with C#), mid tier and
database development.

Project Information:
Working on a variety of projects for different medical publishing clients
(manages up to 30 websites).  Some positions will be front end focused, more
will be middle and a few will be back end.  Half Developers will be on a
project using MVC architecture with shared backend component set.  Does
Semantic Tagging of information, Medical taxonomy, XML Tagging of content so
it can be indexed, targeted Meta Data for online journals that can be search
more effectively than full text index.  They host to sites in a SAAS. 

Development Methodology:  varies – decent amount of Waterfall; moving to XP
Agile
 
Tech Environment:  .NET 2.0/3.5, VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2008, AJAX /
jQuery / JSON, XML, XSLT, XPath, Web Services, Telerik Controls, Flash,
SubVersion, Visual Studio 2005/2010, ASP, LINQ, IIS  

Role Overview/s (role differs depending on position):
• Full lifecycle multi-tier development
• Mixture of new development and maintenance / enhancements (load and refine
content)
• Asp.net using SQL 2008 backend, with vb.net as syntax
• AJAX and heavy jQuery for front-end development
• Application layer
• Heavy data and database work
• Apply tags to ensure XML format consistency
• URL writing, CSS, etc.. for search engine optimization
• Load Balanced IIS
• Clustered SQL
• Write stored procedures and format
• SubVersion for Source Control
• Building reusable search services and ensure data protection
• Software Testing
• 2-3 of the roles will be doing heavy XML, XSLT, and DTD work & using XSLT
to re-shape XML

Requirements:
• 5+ yrs of .NET Development (vb.net OR C#, although vb.net will be used!)
• Full lifecycle development
• Solid Mid Tier and Data Development experience (Client has a solid group
of GUI Developers in place)
• Background working with decent context sets
• Capable of doing some QA / software testing if needed would be a huge
plus!
• Deep knowledge of XML (style sheets) would be a huge plus!
