Hi,

We have an urgent opening for BRE Architect

Location: New York

Duration: 12 months+

Description:

 Assist the project team in designing and implementing a large scale, enterprise system that will provide a web based channel for the consumers in the insurance industry
  Provide leadership and oversight for the integration of ILog rules engine within the application architecture of this new system
 Work with team members to develop guidance related to implementing a business rules solution and develop the infrastructure for a business rules engine--at both a tactical and strategic level
  Properly  categorize rules such that they are re-usable across applications and services within the application
  Provide guidance on the determination of the rules that should be placed in the rules engine versus the code in the application
 Work with architects to design interface between the rules engine and other components in the solution architecture
 Provide guidance on design of solution where the User Interface (information to be collected from the users) is very much dependant on the dynamic business rules
Assess risk and design limitations

Essential:
 Industry knowledge and experience with Business Rules, including the implementation and use of Business Rules related products and applications.
 Strong knowledge/understanding of business rules concepts.
 Good experience in database and Java/J2EE.
 Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture.
 6+ years of total IT experience  with experience in all phase of the SDLC on multiple system implementations
 2+ years experience with rules based development. This candidate should have experience in implementing ILog rules engine.
 Knowledge of methodologies for data modeling, rules modeling, rules discovery/analysis, rule writing
 Ability to interact professionally and collaboratively in customer environments.

Desirable:
 Knowledge and experience of current industry (in general and insurance specific) trends related to business rules--including standards specifications that could be leveraged in building Business Rule Management (BRM) solutions
 Ability to take ownership of tasks with very little direction and manage competing priorities.
 Ability to deliver high quality guidance documents related to business rules management, rules modeling, rules writing & classification, best practices, rules design patterns
