Location: Atlanta ( Need Locals)

 

3-6+ month contract.  Candidate MUST have excellent communication and presentation skills.  Candidate must be as heavy (or more) with CO (Controlling) as he/she is with the FI part (Finance).  This is a SR. FUNCTIONAL ANALYST ROLE

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·                     Responsible for FI/CO configuration and user support

·                     Liaison with finance super users and business users to deliver solutions to meet their business and reporting needs

·                     Responsible for supporting IT projects when SAP FI/CO resources are required

·                     Perform analysis of business processes and identifies improvement opportunities with the help of best practices

·                     Creation of business process documentation, requirements specifications, test scripts, and training materials as needed.

·                     Aid in development and implementation of project plans

·                     Ability to examine system support problems/correct or delegate for resolution

·                     Create and conduct test plans to ensure proper testing of business processes and participates in user acceptance testing and integration testing

·                     Ability to work on a small team of SAP functional analysts, ABAP resources, and BASIS resources.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate should have functional skills in the following FI/CO areas with detailed understanding of logistics processes, and its accounting impact:

• - General Ledger Accounting-foreign currency transactions, month end closing,
• - Accounts payables - payment processing, remittance advices, Vendor invoices,
• - Accounts Receivables / Treasury - AR invoicing, Lockbox receipts/applications
• - Asset accounting - basics (assets create, AUCs, AUCs settlements, Depreciation calculation, etc)
• - Product costing - understanding of 'Costing with qty structure' in different scenarios - MTS, MTO, COGS accounting, SO settlement process
• - Profit Center Accounting
• - Overhead Controlling - CCA(Cost Center Accounting), CEA(Cost Element Accounting)
• - Understanding of accounting impact behind logistics processes - GR, Material Consumption, Transfers, Consignment - Vendor / Customer, Deliveries, Shipments, Invoicing

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on configuration of SAP FI/CO required
• MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS A MUST – we will have to verify
• Hands-on configuration experience in GL, AP, AR, FA/AA, banking, treasury, credit management, lockbox processing, check reconciliation, vendor payments (check printing and wire transfers) and reporting is required
• Good experience in CCA, PCA, PA and costing required
• Good knowledge of integration with MM/IM/WM (materials costing, inventory valuation, goods movements, purchasing, pricing, consignment, etc..) , PP(repetitive and discrete), QM, SD (pricing conditions, taxation including US Sales Tax and VAT, consignment, returns, credit memos, etc...) is required
• Experience with EDI and electronic handling of banking transactions is required.
• Participated in at least one full-cycle implementation of SAP required
• Experience with full Software Development Lifecycle in an SAP environment for RICEF developments is required.
• Ability to write good functional specifications, test scripts, and develop training materials is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be able to express your ideas and understand others using both verbal and written communications
• Data loading experience with creation of LSMW scripts is desired
• Knowledge/ Experience with BI/BW data warehouse, developing data models, info-cubes, queries, and reports are desired.
• Formal education of at least a Bachelor's level degree and SAP certifications desired
• 1+ years experience with the latest versions of SAP ( ECC7 ) and new GL desired
• Good knowledge of US accounting practices such as GAAP is desired.
• Knowledge and/or Experience with meeting regulatory compliance requirements such as SOX / JSOX, and statutory reporting requirements are desired.
• Experience with other SAP modules an asset
• Experience / Knowledge of Vertex Q Series tax software integration is an asset.
• Knowledge or Experience with SAP DIMP Industry Solution an asset
• Knowledge or Experience with Variant Configuration an asset
• Experience with ASAP methodology is an asset
• Knowledge of ABAP/4, SAP report writer, Queries, BADI's, BAPI's, spreadsheet uploads and other developer-like skills are assets
