ETL Analyst-Des Moines

Job Description:

We are looking for a good ETL Support Analyst who would be excited to work in a fast paced environment.    The individual will run the ETL processes, diagnose issues impacting the ETL processing, install code changes, and support our Production and UAT ETL environments.  Travel will be involved with this position.

 

Responsibilities:

Execute batch processes and SQL queries that drive the ETL processing in Production and UAT

Investigate code and data integrity issues related to ETL processes and work with other teams to resolve the issues

Troubleshoot technical issues with processes and identify modifications as needed.

Identify issues and bottlenecks within the code and hardware running the code.

Verify database and data integrity.

Will require shift work (nights and weekends) in response to business/system needs.

 

Experience and Skills:

Required Experience:

Hands on experience running ETL operations

Strong skills reading/writing SQL procedures and functions

Unix skills with shell scripting.

Background in large databases (Oracle preferred).

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Self-motivated and can understand urgency when a task should arise.

Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, be on-call, and be a strong team player.

Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

 

A results oriented individual who thrives on working in a fast paced environment and has good observation skills.

 

Other Desirable skill:

PL/SQL DML and DDL coding experience is a plus

ODI experience is a plus

Oracle Scheduler experience is a plus.

Oracle Advanced Data Guard is a plus.

Oracle Grid control experience is a plus.

DataStage experience is a plus.

Perl coding experience is a plus.
