Title: Java Developer

Location: Louisville, KY

Estimated Length: 6 months+

 

We have an immediate need for at least two Java consultants.  They must be senior level with at least 6-10 years of experience with Java.  C++ is a very helpful skill.  Client is currently rewriting their POS system.  The old system is C++.   The consultants must be able to interview either onsite or via Skype.  We have a consultant working there already so he can help prepare candidates for their interview process.  This project will go 6 months at a time, but is likely to last 2-3 years. 

 

 

·         Bachelor's degree                                                  

·         6-10 years experience in a Web Development environment              

·         Experience with JAVA/J2EE, Servlets, Hibernate, Spring, Swing, JMS 

·         Web Services (SOAP, JAXB, JAX-WS)                                  

·         C/C++ experience                                                   

·         Unix/Linux/AIX experience                                           

·         Web development using HTML, CSS, XML,                              

·         Working knowledge of web server infrastructure components such as  Apache/Tomcat, GlassFish                                           

·         Experience with open source tools such as Subversion and CVS version control systems                                            

·         Message Queues (Tibco desired)                                     

·         Strong relational database and SQL skills, Oracle, Postgres        

·         Ability to work in a large team and independently                  

·         Solid knowledge of object oriented techniques and design patterns  

·         Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns                       

·         Java application debugging and profiling                           

·         Ability to work under established deadlines                        

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills                    

·         Effective communication and interpersonal skills.                  

·         Application development methodology experience                     

·         Ability to quickly learn new technologies and packaged applications

·         Technical and design documentation skills
