Technology Lead – J2EE Websphere Portal

Dallas, Texas

Contract/Full Time Employment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Participate in estimation, staffing analysis in order to provide inputs to prepare solution delivery of proposals
• Participate in discussions with customer to gather scope information and perform scope analysis
• Participate in the estimation of work product in order to provide the right information to TL/PM for overall project estimation
• Prepare a detailed schedule of work packet by analyzing the effort and dependencies.
• Provides inputs for technical risk planning with module perspective in order to ensure timely delivery of project.
• Participate in Requirement review meetings.
• Participate and contribute in High level Design, Detailed Design
• Contribute towards code build and developmental efforts
• Lead the team for integration /system testing based on the test plans and support UAT in order to ensure defect free program release.
• Participate in Production Validation and support testing of Production defects.
• Participate and prepare KT sessions , document the understanding, take on shadow support
• Mentors the team on Technical competencies and provides performance feedback of the team members to project manager in order to manage performance
• Participate in handling customers in order to provide right level of information to the customer and to the PM and to undertake onsite specific activities of the project to ensure successful delivery of the project
• Document and share own learning from the project , seek information and leverage knowledge from other projects in order to drive higher efficiency  and preserve organization knowledge.

 

Skills:

Skillset: J2EE, Frameworks (JSF, Spring, Hibernate), Ajax, Dojo framework, Webservices, IBM Websphere Portal 6.1 or higher, JSR 286 complaint portlets, IBM Websphere Content Management, IBM Mobile Portal Accelerator 6.1 or higher, IBM Web Application Integrator

 

Following is description of the technical requirements for this positions

Design and Development of enterprise portal applications in conformance with JSR 286 and 168 standards

Full lifecycle software development experience on enterprise Portal development projects using IBM Websphere Portal suite  - Portlet Server, Portlet Factory and Mobile Portal Accelerator.

Strong background on web technologies & frameworks such as J2EE, JSP, Spring, Struts, Ajax, EJB, Servlets, XML, SOAP, REST, XSD, Jquery and Json

 

Tools: RAD 7.0 and higher, Portlet factory designer

 

• Should have complete hands on J2EE working for minimum of 5 years
• Should have hands on experience on Presentation framework such as JSF or Struts(atleast)
• Should have end to end experience using JSF, Spring, Hibernate
• Strong and hands on experience on IBM Web sphere portlet factory (6.1 or higher) for min of1- 2 years. Candidate shld have worked on IPC, Accessing custom web services using factory.
• Should have worked on all aspects of creating, customizing, themes, IPC, Portal Services, deployment portal on windows or unix Platforms. Should have worked on projects where portal & portlets have been developed using  above frameworks
• Has sound knowledge on Websphere CMS (6.1 or higher)

 

Experience Required ( In Years):

5-6 years' experience in J2EE Development projects specifically in Websphere Portal Platform.
