SQL DBA position available

Position: SQL DBA
Location:  Redmond/Issaquah in Seattle, Washington
Duration: 1 year + contract
 
Strong SQL DBA skill with application background.
The job will be mainly troubleshooting, tuning and giving inputs for rollout and design.
 
Technical Background and Skill Set
-Understanding and working experience in SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 Administration, Implementation, and Troubleshooting
-Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 Administration; OS Administration (XP, Vista, Windows 7)
-Support level troubleshooting experience in TSQL and SQL Server Management Studio, Web Technologies (HTML, ASP, ASPX, Web Services) MS .NET Framework, SQL and IIS debugging (Log Analysis, Profiling, Perfmon), MS Access DB support
-Experience with support tools (MSE / Siebel, Primus, Product Studio, VSS, VSTF, Tidal Enterprise Scheduler)
-Knowledge of C# and Power Shell scripting
-Passion for technology, and learning new technologies
-Ability to foster positive collaborative work environment
-Equally effective in team and individual self-directed settings
-Driven to deliver effective solutions by incorporating best practices, operational knowledge, and past experiences
 
Duties
Application Support Duties
-Handle Support tickets and resolve the same
-Review and sign off on Requirements, Specifications, and Release documents
-Participate and conduct meetings, drive internal projects
-Creating knowledge base articles build internal and cross group knowledge transfer
 
General Server Administration
-SQL Server, IIS infrastructure and application support for critical line-of-business functions utilizing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx), SDLC, MOF and ITIL compliance and procedures to ensure integrity of corporate data
-Assist in the planning and procurement of hardware by working with engineering and datacenter teams to build systems per requirements. 
-Coordinate with other IT operations teams to setup, configure, troubleshoot, implement IPAKs and security patches, system assessments and other Corporate Security datacenter compliance mandates in all server environments (test, dev, uat, production)
-Write and administer Power Shell scripts that monitor and escalate issues with services, drive space, memory utilization, and event log error reporting
Customer Service
-Assist offshore vendor team with business, customer, and engineering team communications to ensure proper and effective evaluation and resolution of incidents, service requests and problem analysis in a timely manner
-Coordinate and assist business partners in ensuring services are available and functioning properly during  production runs
Incident Coordination
-Act as queue manager to ensure effective coordination of activities during an incident to restore service as quick as possible
-Support Line 1 and 2 support teams with escalations to speed incident resolution
-Assist with detection of possible problems, documentation, and escalation of problems to the Problem Management Team
-Coordinate activities to respond record and resolve major incidents by collaborating with the major incident team
-Gather metrics and create reports to assist in monthly and quarterly reporting to measure Time-to-Resolution (TTR) which assists in validation of meeting Service Level Agreements with business customers.
Problem Analysis
-Assist Problem Manager to ensure rapid root cause analysis of problems, documenting of known errors, developing workarounds, requests for change, and preventative actions of problems
