Description:

**The Department of Environment and Natural Resources is seeking a short term (estimated at 6-9 months) contractor to work with the DENR Information Technology Services division to assist with the maintenance and development of Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) applications.

**This position will be a senior Java developer responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing, and documenting J2EE projects within DENR's central J2EE application development environment.

**The successful candidate should be familiar with all aspects of J2EE development including data, business logic, and presentation tier skills.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requirements:

• Significant experience (3-5 years) in J2EE development projects.
• Experience with the following technologies: Struts JEE application framework, JSP/Tiles, Spring framework, tag libraries, iBatis, and SQL.
• Experience with Oracle database technology.
• Able to work independently to achieve outcomes in an expedient and professional manner.
• Exception oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of systems for contracting and contract closeout.
• Knowledge of water quality best management practices.
