Position : .Net Developer

Location : Washington ,DC

Duration : 6 Months +

 

Face to Face is must after 1^st round of Telephonic Interview. Client is not paying any kind of Expenses for Face to Face Interview .

 

Most Critical Criteria :

 *Requires extensive experience with Java Development on JBoss/MySQL/Linux platform using Spring, Struts 2, & Hibernate frameworks.

*Extensive experience with public facing websites as well as deep understanding & implementation of scalability principles to ensure that developed components can scale to handle significant load.

*In addition, experience with general security principles required for public facing web sites to ensure users cannot attack developed applications or other users.

*Within an Agile environment with minimal QA, it is absolutely essential that the developer be solely responsible for the highest Quality work product without relying on others to find errors.

Recommended Skills :
Understanding, & preferably experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, XML, XSLT, Web Services, REST, SOAP
Preferably experienced integrating third party solutions (Remote API) including Pluck Social Network & Endeca Search

Responsibilities :
Performs the mission critical complex software design, development, enhancement, improvement, & maintenance support for AARP.org applications. Ensures the 24 X 7 availability of AARP.Org & all site Channels: Membership Products & Services, Media Properties, TV, Radio, ATM, Bulletin, Segunda Juventud, etc are 100% available to achieve AARP dashboard goals for Membership Registration, Member Value & enhanced Member Experience. Participates as active team contributor of team to provide design, development, implementation, maintenance, & improvement of custom Web Applications & Social Networking software systems & related system interfaces.

Required Skills :
Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline & 4-6 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of training & experience related to the duties of the position.
Requires extensive expertise developing highly scalable, consumer facing web sites, including ability to understand & develop for security & scalability requirements unique to public web sites (rather than Enterprise/Intranet sites).
Requires extensive expertise with Java/J2EE development, database engineering, 3rd party software integration, & multi-tier applications architecture required
Requires extensive hands on expertise with Java frameworks including Struts 2, Spring, Hibernate, REST Web services
Requires extensive expertise with Java, JSP, JBoss, source code management (Subversion), & build/deployment process/tools (Ant); Requires experience with SQL & relational databases (preferably MySQL); Requires experience developing within an Agile/SCRUM methodology
