VMware Certification Must

 

Technology - Windows, VMware / Xenapp

Experience

 

·At least a total of 8-10 years of experience in Windows and virtualization management

·Must possess at least five years of core experience in the following technologies having played a major role in design and implementation

 

·Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

VMware

XenApp

ESXi/ESX, vSphere 4/5

VMWare

XenDesktop

Netscaler/Citrix Secure Gateway

Edgesignt Implementations

 

 

·         Knowledge in system architecture and design around Virtualization

·         Heavy involvement in infrastructure design, implementations and project work around windows servers systems and virtulization

·         Should be a VMware Certified Professional (VCP4-DT)<http://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=21427&ui=www_cert> and CCA for Xenapp

Key Responsibilities

·         Responsible for the planning, testing, tuning, configuration and setup of XenApp/XenDesktop architectures

·         Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of Thin-client technologies (XenApp/Desktop/Netscaler)

·         Responsible for creating appropriate documentation for deployment, configuration, and related processes around disaster/recovery of the Virtualization infrastructure

·         Liaise with other team members on system backup/restore procedures. Provide a comprehensive disaster recovery plan forXenApp, XenDesktop and Access Gateway products

·         Network troubleshooting with respect to VMware, XenApp, XenDesktop sessions

Others

·         Should have sound knowledge of ITIL practices

·         Should be able to communicate with IT management to present technology design and system integration methodology

·         Should be a strong communicator

·         Must be willing to work under pressure
