The successful candidate will not only be responsible for designing and executing test plans for ESG impacting changes as well as performing fix verifications and triage of defects discovered by other groups but also designing and building a cost effective, scalable automation framework and strategy that meets short-term and long-term testing goals, promoting reusable components and easing maintenance costs.
Must have skills and experience include;
· The ability to create detailed test plans and test cases and execute automated test scripts for applications utilizing SOA/ESOA, TIBCO or REST.
· Experience in writing end-to-end functional test cases and automating execution using HP Service Test Tool or a similar tool.
· Experience with build/fix verification and triage of defects using HP Quality Center. Must be comfortable troubleshooting issues to identify problems with configuration, data or in code.
· Experience in developing test cases using JUnit.
· The ability to document test artifacts, operations, functions and reports.
· Experience in developing object oriented software applications using one or more of; HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML and Java J2EE.
· The ability to employ incumbent tools appropriately and to identify and specify new automation platforms, automation servers, simulator applications, third-party or open source automation frameworks, tools and utilities etc. as necessary to support and manage middleware applications, and environments.
· Experience with leading on-shore and off-shore teams for individual projects and to design and develop the overall automated testing framework and architecture.
· Experience managing a large test cases library and test artifacts using tools.
Preferred skills include;
· Experience developing with one or more of; TIBCO framework, GRAILS, Spring, iBATIS or Hibernate.
· The ability to specify and install required hardware and software for automation projects.
Must have attributes include;
· Ability to work and deliver in fast paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Must demonstrate good time management and be able to prioritize work to successfully meet all deliverables and timeframes.
· A good team player, with an attitude to learn and deliver.
· Excellent Analytical, Communication and Interpersonal skills, including the ability to participate in calls during off-shore hours (typically 9:00 PM PST) one or more times per week.
· Ability to partner with other internal departments including Quality Assurance, Partner Support and Production Support and provide support and subject matter expertise and ensure quick resolution of configuration, environment and application issues
