Position: SAP BI Developer
Client: Direct
Location: Draper, UT
Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the technical specifications, development, and testing in support of SAP BW application software. This position provides technical assistance for assigned projects. It is responsible for understanding how to estimate, plan, develop and deliver SAP development activities in support of multiple projects around SAP's BW. This individual must frequently interface with business end-user and IT management to ensure that business requirements are met through proper system configuration. This person must have hands on development skills and be able to implement technical solutions to meet functional requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain, monitor and execute BW/BI processes ( 24/7 On Call Rotation )
• Design, build and support BEx Queries and Workbooks
• Data modeling using star schema, and identify key performance indicators and other OLAP considerations
• Perform back end development work (ex. Creating/modifying Info Objects, Info providers, ODS Objects, Update Rules, Transfer Rules, Transformations, Data Source enhancements, Generic extractors, Process Chains, Logistics Cockpit configuration and customization)
• ABAP Development (BADIs, user exits, expert routines, start routines, end routines)
• Work with Standard SAP Business Content and Modify Standard Business Content depending on business requirement
• Data load management, Process Chains, event processing and report optimization and performance tuning
• Develop Technical specifications based on functional specifications from business leads
• 50% development, 25% performance optimization and 25% support
Required Skills:
• Completed 2 or more full-lifecycle SAP Implementations
• 4+ year's experience building BW Extractors with at least 1 of those years working with SAP CRM extractors
• 3+ year's experience in BW data modeling
• 3+ year's experience in BEx 7.0
• 4+ years' experience with performance optimization and system tuning.
• 2+ years' experience with MS Office suite
• Experience in analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications
• Strong problem solving capability
• Ability to document, report on, and review required project artifacts (high level design documents, design review, code review, process chains, etc.)
• Experience with Open Hub, ECC and CRM 7 extractors
• Demonstrated ability to maintain effective client relationships over long periods of time.
• Coordination with basis team and other SAP teams.
• Able to independently lead the work of a group or function
• Analytical and assessment skills are essential
• Must be able to perform as an effective member in a team-oriented environment, maintain a positive attitude, and achieve desired results while working with minimal supervision
# of Years Required:
• 8+ years IT experience
• 5+ years of SAP Business Warehouse/Business Intelligence experience using version 7.0/3.5
