Job Description:

Overview: SAP PP/PM Analyst will work with business units to develop solutions, support production applications and implement enhancements or project initiatives.  You will troubleshoot issues, gather business requirements, conduct gap analysis, determine process or systematic solutions, compile documentation, and facilitate testing.  The Analyst must know how to leverage SAP best practices and have expert understanding of the SAP modules they will be supporting of Production Planning and Plant Maintenance.  Broader knowledge across additional modules is a significant plus; specifically in SD, IMWM, LE/TR and integrations to FI.  The SAP Support team is an integrated and cross support organization so the Analyst will be leveraged across numerous modules to partner with the team in daily support demands as well as resolution of after-hours critical issues.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide business analysis and process redesign expertise in SAP functions and processes

• SAP configuration, implementation and support in an ECC 6.0 environment

• Configure SAP functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design

• Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms

• Support peripheral systems and interfaces related to the businesses

• Design and execute test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly and meet business objectives

• Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT areas to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts

• Communicate SAP capabilities/possibilities within functional modules

• Identify and respond to innovation that provides new business capabilities and/or creates process efficiencies

• Perform root cause analysis on system report failures and correct system configuration defects

• On-call rotation for after hours critical issues a few times per year.  This will begin after sufficient on-boarding and education on our system has occurred.

                 

Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge in the core modules the Analyst will be supporting and functional knowledge of one or more other modules listed above.

• Ability to interact with business users and team members to understand problems, prioritize needs, collect requirements, and follow through with commitments

• Ability to conceptualize and recommend solutions to business problems and conduct subsequent gap analysis

• Ability to develop simple solutions to complex problems

• Ability to work independently under limited supervision

• Understanding of IT development methodologies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities
