Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Project Manager with deep skills and experience in an IBM Mainframe
Environment. In this role, you will manage a three phase project which will include an IBM z/OS upgrade and migration. In this role you will be directly responsible for keeping the project on track and on budget. You will manager a team of three engineers and coordinate with the IT Director for deliverables.
Required Skills :
IT Infrastructure (10+ yrs) experience is required
Mainframe migration and virtualization experience is required
Mainframe engineering background is a strong plus
Requirements:
Expert IT Project Manager with 6+ years of IT Project Management experience.
Proven track record for driving the delivery of $1M to $3M projects, with quality, on-time and on- budget.
Able to establish credibility and rapport with Senior Executives in IT based on a firm grasp of the issue at hand and the program/project management.
Self-managing demonstrates leadership and operates with a sense of autonomy.
Excellent vendor and financial management skills and demonstrated results are required.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Expert knowledge of MS Project is required - Clarity experience is a plus.
PMP Certification is required; Scrum and/or Agile experience is a strong plus.
Ideal Experience :
Experience working in an IBM Main Frame Z/OS version 9 or better
Experience building a testing system to work along side a production environment
Experience using an IBM Z114 in a production environment .
