Job Title: TIBCO EMS Specialist
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: Long term
Rate: $550/Day c2c

Roles & Responsibilities:

• This position involves Message Oriented Middleware technologies.
• Middleware staff members are all product experts in a subset of the
above products but are expected to support all of the products on a
first line basis, escalating to product experts where required.
• Middleware staff support escalations from other members of the
global team when required.
• The Index, Portfolio and Risk Solutions (IPRS) Team within the
Client Facing Technologies line of business has a specific need to set
up a TIBCO EMS environment to support growth of their business.
• The candidate will work with the members of the Middleware Team,
Application Team and various Infrastructure Teams like Platforms,
Storage, Networks and Data centre Operations to ensure timely
deployment of kit and software and configuration of the TIBCO EMS and
efficient delivery of the environment.
• This position entails providing Messaging Middleware Engineering
services at client with a focus on building and maintenance of TIBCO
EMS infrastructure.
• This position requires an ability to analyze project requirements
and to perform setup and support on behalf of teams using the shared/
dedicated Tibco EMS farms.
• Additional responsibilities include technology and skills transfer
within the team and throughout the development community and an
ability to troubleshoot Messaging related problems.
• Candidate must have good understanding of Messaging, Multicast,
Networking and UNIX concepts.
• Candidate is required to provide support for the below products.

Must Have Skills:

• TIBCO EMS
• TIBCO Hawk
• TIBCO Rendezvous
• WebSphere MQ
• Solace Systems
• Experience in using SAN Storage and setup up VCS HA Clustering
• Java (J2EE)
• Unix Shell scripting

Desired Skills:

• TIBCO Business Works
• TIBCO RV – RVD, RVRD,RVCM, RV Cache
• Other Messaging Middleware (IBM Websphere MQ, Solace, etc.)
• 30% Engineering and 70% Environment / Application Support (approx)
• Flexible – willing to provide coverage during weekends and or early/
late shifts.
• Previous work experience deploying TIBCO EMS environments in an
enterprise wide setup is preferred.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows is a must.
• Understanding of working of VERITAS clustering and familiarity with
LTM/GTM Load balancers is also required.
