Job description: The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of software design patterns, a clear understanding of web and system security issues and designing for best application performance.
Required Skills:
• 5 + years professional IT experience
• 3+ years experience performing as a developer using Ruby on Rails
• Experience with Agile development techniques
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby/Rails, Java, NoSQL (MongoDB), Search Engine (MS FAST)
• Thorough understanding of the (SDLC) software development lifecycle
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work quickly and to tight deadlines
• Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other department personnel
• Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
• Must be "self-motivated" as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
• Must be a team-player
• Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines
• BS or MS in Computer Science or technical equivalent
