Must-haves
- 5+ years of experience working as an MQ Administrator (not a developer)
- Previous experience working in an enterprise level Windows and AIX environment
- Strong knowledge of IBM WebSphere MQ: able to design, implement, monitor and support the company's messaging transport layer across multiple platforms (Windows and AIX)
- Written and verbal communications skills
- Able to document architecture and components
Plusses
- Experience with Mainframe or Tandem (both are being phased out of this environment)
- Experience with other MQ products: MQ Broker, BMC Q Pasa!, AMS or other relavant products and applications
Day-to-Day
WebSphere MQ Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of the BTMU messaging transport layer across multiple platforms (Windows, AIX, Mainframe and Tandem). You will also be responsible for the installation of the middleware infrastructure, which consists of IBM WebSphere MQ, MQ Broker, BMC Que Pasa!, AMS and other relevant products and applications. Will support application developers and MQ Broker team.
